Our Story

AMA was born in Havana, Cuba from a love of creativity and community. Founded by Maria, an electric bass player, and Ana, a flautist, our journey started with music and grew into fashion. Beginning in Maria’s grandmother’s spare room in Havana, our dream has blossomed into a thriving store in Vedado, Havana.

As young female entrepreneurs in Cuba, Maria and Ana faced many challenges, but their passion for handmade artistry and empowering women never wavered. Today, we are a team of ten artisans, including retired women and single mothers, dedicated to crafting beautiful, unique pieces. Each item is made by hand, often taking days to complete, reflecting our commitment to quality and tradition.

At AMA Havana, every piece carries a piece of our story. Join us and wear a part of Havana.

AMA's Vision

At AMA, we embrace Slow Fashion to produce sustainable and ethical clothing, focusing on quality and durability.

Each garment with its AMA touch, is made with traditional Cuban techniques such as crochet, celebrates our cultural heritage and provides employment for local artisans.

Tropical Rhythm Collection

Our Tropic Rhythm collection is a tribute to the music, diversity, and vibrancy of Havana's city streets and its people.

Each piece is an expression of the Cuban spirit, blending traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary aesthetic.

The color represents the diverse spectrum of Cuban life. At the same time, we stay true to our roots as musicians and Cuban's love of having a good time.
